Genuine Server Spare Parts Shipped to Namibia

We dispatch worldwide, delivering memory, drives, processors, power supplies, RAID controllers and networking components to data centres and IT teams nationwide.

Namibia’s Data Centre Market

Windhoek is Namibia’s capital and primary commercial and IT hub, home to the country’s leading data centre operators. Paratus Namibia runs the Armada Data Center — a carrier-neutral, multi-tenant colocation campus with two independent facilities and 2 MVA of power capacity, designed to Tier III equivalent standards, located just outside Windhoek. Telecom Namibia, the national incumbent, operates data centre infrastructure in the city, while Salt Essentialit offers colocation, managed IT and cloud services. MTN Group and IT Guru Solution are also named among Namibian data centre investors. The market is expanding: Namibia’s data centre colocation segment is forecast to grow at a 9.9% CAGR over 2024–2030, driven by Vision 2030 digitization, 5G rollout and the operational Equiano subsea cable — which Paratus landed at Swakopmund in July 2022 and Telecom Namibia formally activated capacity on in July 2024.

Import & Compliance

Telecom and network equipment in Namibia is regulated by the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN), established under the Communications Act No. 8 of 2009. CRAN Type Approval applies to active networking hardware with radio modules — wireless NICs, switches and routers — which must be approved or listed on CRAN’s exemption register; certificates are valid for three years. Pure passive server components such as memory, drives, CPUs, PSUs and RAID controllers are generally outside CRAN scope. Customs is administered by the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA), and Namibia is a member of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU). Buyers should confirm current sanctions, export-control eligibility, and exact duties and taxes with a licensed customs broker before each shipment.

Logistics

Both DHL and Aramex maintain a verified presence in Namibia. DHL operates as DHL Namibia Pty Ltd, headquartered in Windhoek for over 35 years with offices in Walvis Bay and nationwide retail partners. Aramex serves the market through its Windhoek franchisee Coastal Couriers, located at 68 Nickel Street, Windhoek. Air cargo moves through Hosea Kutako International Airport, the country’s primary international gateway around 45 km east of Windhoek, while the Port of Walvis Bay handles seaborne technology imports as Namibia’s largest deepwater port.

Who We Serve

ICD supports Namibia’s fastest-growing technology sectors. The banking and fintech market — with digital payments reaching USD 1.414 billion in total transaction value in 2024 and players such as FNB Namibia and PayToday — relies on resilient server infrastructure. Government digitization under the National Digital Strategy 2025–2029, the Harambee Prosperity Plan and Vision 2030 is driving e-government, cloud and data-sovereignty demand. The telecom sector is investing heavily, with N$305 million directed into software and network infrastructure in Q1 2025 and data revenue of N$831 million in the quarter, accelerated by MTC’s 5G network rollout. Namibia’s major mining economy — uranium, diamonds and copper — together with emerging green-hydrogen projects, adds further industrial IT demand. We help these enterprises keep critical systems running with authentic, warranty-grade spare parts.
