Egyptian Banking, Telco & Government Customers
ICD supplies major Egyptian sectors including the National Bank of Egypt and other tier-1 banks, Telecom Egypt, Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, Etisalat Egypt (e&), Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, several Suez Canal Authority subsidiaries, and the leading data center operators in Smart Village, the New Administrative Capital, and Maadi Data City.
NTRA-Compliant Networking Imports
Egypt’s National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) requires approval for networking imports. ICD operates a hybrid sourcing model: formal NTRA-cleared imports for non-urgent fleet orders via Aramex Cairo (CAI-377756, CAI-826320), and time-sensitive customer orders via Aramex Dubai (DXB-1421682) plus passenger import from Dubai to Cairo. This routing pattern has been validated against NTRA policy and is documented in our import-compliance playbook.
Currency & Payment
All ICD pricing is denominated in USD per global enterprise IT convention. Egyptian customers pay in USD via bank wire or in EGP at the day-of-payment Central Bank rate. Egyptian VAT is invoiced at 14% on local Egypt sales (international shipments are VAT-exempt at point of export).
Cairo Logistics Map
Aramex Cairo handles inbound and outbound mailbox traffic, while DHL Express services Cairo Airport (CAI) for premium overnight shipments. Imported parts clear customs at Cairo Airport via the Cargo Village. ICD’s customs broker handles import documentation; HS code 8471 (data processing equipment) applies to most server, storage, and component imports.
