Can ICD access HPE firmware updates for my ProLiant servers?

HPE requires an active warranty or support contract for access to certain firmware through their Support Center. ICD provides guidance on firmware management and can assist with updates using publicly available SPP (Service Pack for ProLiant) releases. For servers under ICD maintenance, we ensure your firmware is at a stable, tested revision.

My DL380 Gen9 is EOSL. Can ICD still get parts?

Yes. Gen9 parts are widely available in the secondary market, and ICD maintains substantial Gen9 inventory — DDR4 memory, Smart Array P440ar/P840ar controllers, 10K/15K SAS drives, 500W/800W/1400W power supplies, and more. Gen9 is one of the most deployed ProLiant generations, and parts availability remains strong.

How does ICD handle HPE iLO licensing?

HPE iLO licensing (Standard, Advanced, Essentials) is a software license, not a hardware maintenance item. ICD maintenance covers the physical hardware. If you need iLO Advanced features, your existing licenses continue to function. ICD does not provide or require additional iLO licensing.

Can I mix HPE and Dell servers on one ICD contract?
