Why this role matters
Customers building or extending infrastructure need a partner who can design a complete solution, not only supply parts. This role designs server, storage and networking solutions with customers and turns them into complete, buildable part lists.
What you will do
- Meet customers to understand workloads, capacity, availability and growth needs.
- Design server, storage and networking solutions on Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, IBM and NetApp platforms.
- Turn each design into a complete, buildable bill of materials covering every component, cable and option.
- Validate compatibility, power, cooling and rack requirements for each design.
- Present and explain solution designs to technical and management audiences.
- Support the sales team on complex opportunities and tenders through to quotation.
- Advise customers on extending the life of existing systems with TPM and on retiring equipment through EKODAQ IT asset disposition.
- Keep design documents and configuration templates organised for reuse.
What you bring
- 7+ years in solution architecture, presales or systems engineering for data centre infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise servers, storage arrays and data centre networking.
- Experience building complete configurations and bills of materials.
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work across sales, procurement and service delivery teams.
- Degree in computer engineering, electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications from Dell, HPE, Cisco, NetApp or VMware.
- Experience with virtualisation, backup and hyperconverged platforms.
- Experience with public sector tenders.
- Knowledge of ERPNext or similar systems.
Languages
English required; Arabic is an advantage.
Travel
Around 25% travel for customer workshops.
