Who we are
Since 2005, ICD has supplied enterprise servers, storage, networking parts and data centre maintenance to businesses in Egypt, the Gulf, Africa and beyond.
Why this role matters
Retired IT equipment carries both data risk and recoverable value, and customers choose EKODAQ to handle both responsibly. The ITAD Operations Lead runs the full disposition process, from collection to certified sanitisation and final reporting, so every device is accounted for.
What you will do
- Plan and run ITAD projects: asset collection, secure transport, intake, sanitisation, testing, grading, reuse, resale or recycling.
- Lead the data sanitisation team and set daily priorities and quality checks.
- Maintain chain of custody from customer site to final disposition, with serial-level records in the ERP.
- Apply NIST SP 800-88 sanitisation methods and physical destruction where required, and issue certificates and customer reports.
- Write and update ITAD procedures and keep the facility ready for customer and certification audits.
- Work with procurement and sales on the resale of reusable equipment and with licensed partners for environmentally sound recycling.
- Track volumes, turnaround times and exceptions, and report to the EKODAQ General Manager.
- Advise customers and the sales team on secure disposition options during the presales stage.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering or operations management.
- At least 5 years in ITAD, IT asset management, data centre operations or hardware refurbishment, including 2 years leading a team.
- Practical knowledge of NIST SP 800-88 and data erasure tools.
- Experience building chain-of-custody, audit and reporting processes.
- Strong organisation and clear communication with customers and auditors.
Nice to have
- Experience with R2v3, e-Stewards, ISO 27001 or ISO 14001 environments.
- Certified Data Erasure Specialist or equivalent vendor certification.
- Knowledge of e-waste regulations in Egypt, the UAE or Kenya.
- Experience with ERPNext or a similar ERP.
