This is an HPE 'Server Special' SKU (build-to-order / special-bid), which is why it does not appear as a standard orderable option on buy.hpe.com — the mainstream equivalent with identical specification is P18428-B21 (spare P18485-001). Designed for read-heavy enterprise workloads: virtualization datastores, VDI linked clones, database read replicas, analytics, media and boot/cache tiers. Fits HPE ProLiant Gen8 / Gen9 / Gen10 servers with 2.5in SFF SmartCarrier hot-plug drive bays and a SATA-capable backplane / Smart Array controller (B140i, P440ar, P408i, etc.).
