SAN and NAS Storage Implementation Services
Design, deploy, and configure enterprise storage from Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, and more.
ICD Professional provides enterprise storage implementation services covering SAN, NAS, and unified storage platforms from Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, IBM, Hitachi Vantara, and additional enterprise vendors. Our storage engineers design, deploy, and configure storage infrastructure that meets your performance, capacity, availability, and data protection requirements from day one.
Storage implementation errors are among the most expensive infrastructure mistakes an organization can make, leading to performance bottlenecks, data availability gaps, and costly rework. ICD eliminates this risk by assigning storage-specialized engineers who understand the nuances of each platform architecture, best practices for production deployment, and the integration requirements of modern enterprise environments.
Storage Implementation Capabilities
- SAN deployment including Fibre Channel fabric design, zoning configuration, LUN provisioning, multipath I/O setup, and host integration for Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, and IBM storage arrays
- NAS implementation covering NFS and SMB share provisioning, export policies, Active Directory integration, quota management, and snapshot scheduling for NetApp, Dell EMC, QNAP, and Synology platforms
- All-flash array deployment for performance-intensive workloads on Pure Storage FlashArray, NetApp AFF, Dell PowerStore, and HPE Primera with thin provisioning, deduplication, and compression optimization
- Data migration from legacy storage to new platforms using non-disruptive migration tools and methodologies that maintain application availability throughout the transition
- Backup and replication configuration including snapshot policies, asynchronous replication for disaster recovery, and integration with enterprise backup software
Implementation Methodology
- Design Phase: ICD storage architects analyze your workload requirements, growth projections, and availability targets to produce a detailed implementation design. The design document covers physical layout, logical configuration, network connectivity, and data protection strategy.
- Deployment Phase: Physical installation of storage controllers, drive shelves, and connectivity components. Firmware is updated, pools and aggregates are created, and the storage network (FC or IP) is configured and tested.
- Configuration Phase: Volumes, LUNs, shares, and exports are provisioned per the design. Host connectivity is established and verified. Performance baselines are measured and compared against design targets.
- Handoff Phase: Your storage team receives comprehensive documentation, operational runbooks, and a knowledge transfer session covering day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting procedures.
