The kit contains four (4) Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) to Mini-SAS (SFF-8087) 12G cable assemblies in various lengths, sized for the different drive-cage/box positions. All cables are passive 12Gb/s SAS signal assemblies - no power conductors and no active electronics. Supported platforms per HPE option naming and the HPE Store product listing: ProLiant DL380 Gen10, DL385 Gen10, DL388 Gen10, DL560 Gen10, DL580 Gen10 and ML350 Gen10. This cable kit is MANDATORY when the P824i-p MR Gen10 controller is installed, because the controller ships without backplane cables - without this kit the controller cannot be attached to the drive backplane.
