NVIDIA Mellanox Spectrum SN2700 — a 1U open Ethernet switch delivering 32 ports of 100GbE QSFP28 with 6.4 Tb/s of non-blocking throughput. Built on the Mellanox Spectrum ASIC, it is designed as a leaf/spine or top-of-rack fabric switch for AI, HPC and storage networks where consistent low latency and zero packet loss matter more than feature bloat. Every port is speed-flexible, so one switch serves 10G access and 100G spine roles simultaneously.

Compatibility

Airflow direction is not field-changeable — order the correct variant. This is the CS2R (C2P) model: intake at the port side, exhaust at the power-supply side. Where ports face the cold aisle, that is front-to-rear airflow. The CS2F / P2C variant blows the opposite way; mixing airflow directions in one rack row creates hot-air recirculation. The trailing letter also encodes the OS — CS2R ships MLNX-OS, while CS2RC ships Cumulus Linux. QSFP28 ports accept 100G optical transceivers or DAC/AOC cable; 4×25G and 4×10G breakout requires the matching breakout cable.

Suited to AI/ML and HPC cluster fabrics, GPU east-west interconnect, NVMe-oF and software-defined storage networks, and leaf-spine or top-of-rack data centre aggregation.
