Payment Methods — ICD

ICD accepts multiple payment methods to suit enterprise buyers across Egypt, MENA, and worldwide. All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Egyptian VAT at 14% applies to domestic invoices where mandated.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Bank Wire Transfer (T/T)
- Preferred for orders above USD 5,000
- Settlement: 1-3 business days after wire initiation
- Buyer bears wire fees on sending side; ICD absorbs receiving fees up to USD 50
- Full banking details provided on pro-forma invoice
Credit and Debit Cards
- Visa, Mastercard, and Meeza cards accepted through Central Bank of Egypt authorised acquirers
- 3D Secure authentication required on all card transactions
- Card data is tokenised at the acquirer — ICD never sees or stores raw card numbers (see Security Statement)
- Refunds to card are processed via the original acquirer; bank settlement typically 7-14 business days
Letter of Credit (L/C)
- Available for orders above USD 25,000
- Irrevocable at-sight L/C preferred
- Advising bank details provided on request
- Buyer bears L/C opening, amendment, and discrepancy fees
Cheque
- Accepted for domestic Egyptian customers only
- Order confirmed only after cheque clearance (typically 2-5 business days)
- Returned cheques incur a fixed handling fee of USD 50 plus any bank charges
Net-30 / Credit Terms
- Available to verified partners subject to credit review and trade references
- Approval requires credit application, financial statements, and bank references
- Credit limits reviewed annually
2. Currency
- All quotations issued in USD
- Egyptian customers may pay in EGP equivalent using the exchange rate stated on the invoice date
- No hidden currency conversion fees — rates are transparent on the invoice
3. Taxes and Duties
- Egyptian customers: VAT 14% added per Egyptian VAT Law 67/2016 on applicable items
- International customers: import duties and taxes in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility
- Incoterms 2020 (typically CPT, DAP, or CIP) specified on each quotation determine tax allocation
4. Invoice and Tax Documentation
All sales are accompanied by a VAT-compliant invoice bearing:
- ICD legal name and Tax Identification Number 500683026
- Buyer legal name, address, and TIN (where provided)
- Itemised product list, unit price, VAT, and total
- Shipping and insurance charges (where applicable)
- Incoterms and payment terms
5. Fraud Prevention
All card transactions pass through 3D Secure authentication and are screened by the acquirer’s fraud engine. Suspicious transactions may be held for review or declined. Our Security Statement describes these controls in detail.
6. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. For full terms, see our Refund Policy.
7. Chargebacks
Before initiating a card chargeback, please contact us at [email protected]. Most disputes are resolved faster directly.
8. Payment Security
- SSL/TLS encryption site-wide (Let’s Encrypt)
- PCI DSS compliance via acquirer (no card data on ICD servers)
- 3D Secure on all card transactions
- Sanctions and AML screening on high-value transactions
- Two-factor authentication on finance and admin accounts
