A Tier III facility certificate covers power paths, cooling redundancy and concurrent maintainability. It says nothing about whether the server in rack 14 can still get a mainboard. When Dell support lapses, three things stop: spare parts entitlement, firmware access, and the response clock. The facility remains certified; the estate inside it quietly stops being supportable.
