Cisco Memory in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 cloud regions, NEOM, and the surge of Riyadh and Jeddah enterprise data centres are pushing UCS nodes to their memory ceilings — large RAM footprints for analytics, in-memory databases and high-density virtualisation. On Cisco UCS, getting there means respecting strict DIMM population rules; the wrong module silently throttles a node. ICD delivers genuine Cisco UCS memory into Saudi Arabia with SABER/SASO-aware import handling, matched to the exact PID for your server generation.
Cisco DIMMs held for Saudi deployments
Coverage runs from DDR4 RDIMM/LRDIMM on the M5/M6 estate to DDR5 on M7/M8 and X-Series compute. For large in-memory footprints, the high-rank capacity modules matter — for instance the Cisco 64GB DDR4 LRDIMM 2933MHz 4Rx4 Memory for dense DDR4 nodes and the Cisco 128GB DDR5 RDIMM 4800MHz 4Rx4 Memory for X-Series scale-up.
| PID | Capacity | Type / speed | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| ML-X64G4RT-H | 64GB | DDR4 LRDIMM 2933 4Rx4 | High-density M5 |
| UCSX-MR128G4RE1 | 128GB | DDR5 RDIMM 4800 4Rx4 | UCS X-Series |
| MR-X32G2A | 32GB | DDR4 RDIMM 2400 2Rx4 | UCS C-Series M5 |
| MRX32G1RE1 | 32GB | DDR5 RDIMM 4800 1Rx4 | UCS M7 Xeon SP |
LRDIMM, capacity ceilings and why mixing fails
For the largest per-node footprints, LRDIMM is the enabler: its load-reduction buffer lets the memory controller drive more ranks per channel than an RDIMM can, which is how you reach the top capacities needed for in-memory analytics. The trade-offs are firm. RDIMM and LRDIMM cannot coexist in one server. The bus clocks to the slowest DIMM and to whatever the DIMMs-per-channel count permits — so a 2400MHz module dragged into a 2933MHz fleet pulls everything down. And capacity must be reached with a balanced, symmetric channel map across both CPUs, not by stuffing one bank. On DDR5 M7/M8 the same constraints hold at 4800/6400MHz. Specify a homogeneous kit per server and you avoid every one of these traps.
Conformity and delivery in the Kingdom
Memory shipped into Saudi Arabia passes through SABER/SASO conformity, which ICD manages as part of supply. Modules reach Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and the new cloud-region sites ready to install, serial-traceable and warranty-backed — the certification step does not stall your upgrade window.
