The Dell 405-AAZU is the PERC H745 RAID controller for Dell PowerEdge 14th and 15th generation servers. The H745 is Dell’s mainstream hardware RAID solution, featuring 8GB of flash-backed write cache, 12Gbps SAS throughput, and support for RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60. It handles up to 240 physical drives and supports both SAS and SATA drives (HDD and SSD). The flash-backed cache eliminates the BBU battery, providing persistent write-back protection without maintenance.
