Cisco SSD in Nigeria
As Lagos and Abuja colocation matures, Nigerian enterprises are shifting transactional and performance workloads onto Cisco UCS flash — boot, capacity-value and NVMe performance tiers. The decision that matters is endurance: choosing an SSD class that survives the workload’s write pattern, sourced as the exact Cisco PID so the UCS controller validates it. ICD supplies genuine Cisco SSDs into Nigeria through Lagos port, exact-PID matched, serving the Lagos and Abuja data-centre ecosystems.
Cisco SSDs shipped to Nigeria
Stock spans M.2 SATA boot drives, SATA/SAS enterprise SSDs and U.2 NVMe. Common choices include the Cisco 1.92TB SATA 6Gb/s Enterprise Value SSD for UCS for capacity flash and the Cisco 960GB M.2 SATA SSD (boot Optimized) for the dedicated boot tier.
| PID | Capacity | Interface / class | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| SD19T61X-EV | 1.92TB | SATA 6G / Enterprise Value | Capacity flash pools |
| M2-960G-D | 960GB | M.2 SATA / boot | Mirrored OS boot |
| SD480GIS3-EP | 480GB | SAS 12G / Perf 3 DWPD | Write-heavy volumes |
| NVMEI4-I1600 | 1.6TB | U.2 NVMe / high perf | Low-latency NVMe |
Endurance class is the decision that lasts
The most consequential SSD choice is endurance, expressed as DWPD (drive writes per day). An Enterprise Value SSD — roughly 1 DWPD — is the cost-effective pick for read-intensive and light-write data; an Enterprise Performance SSD at 3 DWPD is built to absorb sustained writes from databases, message queues and logging without early wear-out. Deploying a value drive under a heavy-write database is the classic mistake that ends in premature failure. Two further rules: keep boot separate on dedicated M.2 SATA drives mirrored by the M.2 RAID controller, so the OS is never caught in a data-pool rebuild; and confirm the interface — SATA, SAS or NVMe — against your controller and bays, with NVMe needing tri-mode or U.2 support. Standardising the SSD spec per workload tier makes any spare you hold a clean drop-in — useful where same-day replacement is harder to arrange.
Lagos import and delivery
ICD routes Nigerian SSD orders through Lagos port and serves the Lagos and Abuja clusters — Rack Centre, MainOne/Equinix and others. Cisco SSDs ship serial-traceable and warranty-backed, with the correct endurance class advised so the drive matches the workload up front.
