Sizing for PoE, DC plant and redundancy
Two factors drive PSU selection in Saudi deployments harder than elsewhere. PoE budget: Catalyst access switches powering APs, cameras and phones can draw well beyond their base figure — a 1900W unit exists precisely because a fully-loaded PoE chassis needs it. Size the supply to the PoE class and port count you will actually run. DC plant: many large Saudi facilities distribute -48V DC, so the UCS DC PSU (not the AC variant) is the correct part; the two are not interchangeable. On top of both, redundancy holds only when paired PSUs are identical wattage, input and airflow. Match all three attributes and the chassis keeps true N+1 or grid redundancy.
